About
About Statwren
Statwren publishes consumer preference research built from the reading behaviour of a network of independent consumer publications.
Our publications cover the things people spend their time and money on: their homes, wardrobes, cars, trips, kitchens, money and weekends. Over the past year we built the tools to listen to their readers properly: reactions, saves, head-to-head picks, short polls and the reasons behind a thumbs-down, tied to images tagged against a fixed schema.
The result is a stream of preference data that is unusually large, unusually honest and unusually specific. Statwren is where we publish it: as focused reports that answer one commercial question each, with the evidence and the dataset included.
Our standards
- Every index carries an interval. Small samples are not reported.
- Every report says who the panel is and what it cannot tell you.
- Every report ships with the data, so your analysts can check our work.
- When a fair comparison kills a headline, we publish the comparison.
Founder
Jon Dykstra, LLB, MBA, founded Statwren and publishes the consumer publications whose readers make up the panel. He built the reader-signal tools behind the data and reviews every report before it is published. Jon Dykstra on LinkedIn
