The wool coat is the coat women over 40 say they would actually buy, well ahead of the trench and leather jacket. The puffer barely registers.
Photos tell a slightly different story: puffer outfits still collect a 63% love share, so readers like seeing them more than they want to own one. The trench has the highest love share of all at 78%.
Colour is decisive too. Shown real coats, readers pick camel over grey 74% to 24%.
